Hot Dam

Patrick Makau won the Rotterdam Marathon in the 4th fastest time ever, 2:04:48.

Jimmy Carney let me and the rest of America down by not finishing within 10 minutes of Makau. He ran 2:15:50 with a goal of 2:12-2:13. James is a great runner and I'm an official member of the "Carnation Fan Club", but the marathon has been kicking his ass. I believe he has 3 DNF's, a 2:17 and a 2:16 now. He's a much better runner than that shows.
Waiting to hear his thoughts about it on his blog.

In Paris Marathon news, Tadesse Tola won it in 2:06:41.

Tola also won the Healthy Kidney 10k in '09. Makau won it in '08. And Ritz won it in '07.
What this obviously means is that Ritz will win his fall marathon.
